For events years or months in the future, all the prep comes down to just one thing.

Day of execution.

It doesn’t matter if you have everything ready, or not, the day of the event is the truth.

Today, I learned about some plans being prepped (at a very high level) for July 4th, 2026. The United States of America will be 250 years old. That’s a pretty big deal. Where I live, it is a really BIG deal.

Funny enough, Philadelphia has won the bid for the FIFA World Cup and the final match in this city will be played on… you guessed it 7/4/26.

So, here we go Philly. Get ready and hang on to your hat.

Of course, between now and then, there are hundreds of other events to plan and pull off.

Anyone who has been on the planning side, and in the room where it happens, the effort is worth it when you have at least one person who looks you right in the eye and say:

“I know all the prep for this was a lot and thank you for making it happen.” It just takes one. Hundreds is nice, but one is all you need.
