Sure, waiting for the end of the summer to run the derby means that things will change.
- Different odds.
- Different kind of stress waiting for four more months.
- Different jockey, maybe.
- Different level of excitement with less in person spectators.
- Different version of that famous song.
- Different fancy things to decorate, beyond the derby hat.
In the end though, even with a four month delay, there are still last minute things that can go wrong…
Or, very right.
Because, a horse you own, winning the biggest race of the year, is far better than not winning with the one that couldn’t run.
