There is absolutely no nuance in digital messaging… and it is super fast and easy to text, send off an e-mail or make an online comment.

All of these options in communication are missing the things that make the spoken word more meaningful.

Intonation

Intent

Emotion

Care

Inquisitiveness

Love

…and for that matter anger, frustration, urgency (are also missing.)

So, we have to make it work better making up for the fact that there is no nuance in any of this by being descriptive and setting the basis in a relationship early on. By taking that time, the amount of time needed to create a relationship, can help ensure that the message gets across in the right way. Still, sometimes the right message is STILL lost and you have to get back on track and make it right. Or, suffer the consequences. Take the time. Make it right. Set the stage. Keep talking.
