After the fact, just one more thought could make all the difference in the future.
The question is – do you get that chance.
Regular staff meeting? Absolutely.
Bring it up later that day or on the next call.
In court, on the stand? Possibly but depends.
Even though the plans are made prior to the courtroom testimony, something is bound to come up that wasn’t fully known ahead of time.
After you say good night? Sure.
Wait until morning…unless it absolutely can’t wait.
After the fight? Hopefully.
If the relationship was worth anything in the prior days you should be able to add something meaningful to the conversation.
Just one more thought about the situation should be allowed, but sometimes it isn’t going to work out that way. Speak your mind – and speak wisely in a timely fashion. Otherwise you should forever hold your peace…
