This winter has not been our very best friend.
The east has been colder. Extra snow and more days below freezing – a good bunch below zero – definitely pressuring even the hardiest of the perennials in the garden.
The west has been warmer. No snow and early spring time encouraging buds and blooms which will indeed be at risk of falling off when (not if) temps find their norm.
This is disturbing for both residents and vacationers alike.
No one is getting what they want. Nature however has a way of doing what it wants, when it wants.
At the very least we will all appreciate that this winter is over and moving into another season. Full of opportunity to be what we hope for rather than what we don’t. It is only a couple more days and we are going to get a theoretical change…and sometimes that is all we need to feel better about it all.
