Even after several prior visits, they are still better than average. This is so encouraging. Inspiring even.
They are holding up their reputation from past experiences. Not easy to do. Typically over time, they become lax and drop the ball. Or, get comfortable and it becomes too familiar – no longer special.
What can be done to maintain this?
- Take the time.
- Make the effort.
- Pay attention.
- Listen to the customers.
- Make minor changes to keep it fresh.
- Look at it with new eyes as if you never saw it before.
- You have to believe you can do it, again (and again).
It is in the phrase. No it’s not that hard. But accomplishing a rating that is still better than average means that you could be even better than you were before – and not just the others getting steadily worse. Keep it up – don’t give in to mediocrity – you’re worth so much more.
