Yes, But

A subtle difference when you say “yes, but” or “yes, and” – at least in terms of a very slight vocabulary change.

The meaning though.

The nuance of it.

Is very powerful.

Hearing what they are saying, agreeing and at the same time not being willing to share more. It might be simple vocab, yes. But, it seems that there is a bigger issue. Not listening. Not expanding the conversation. Not being willing to consider that we don’t have all of the facts. Be open minded. Then, maybe, we can agree – or at least agree to disagree, while coming to understand each other and your unique perspectives on the matter.
