Pretty Serious Recognition

After a number of fun, seasonal holiday weekends and events – we are ready some pretty serious recognition.

This weekend, we celebrate by saying thank you and acknowledge our US Veterans. This is something we should do each and every day. From our fathers and mothers to our grand parents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and cousins, to our friends, co-workers and neighbors, we must think of their on-going sacrifice. There are countless humans in our common history who have stood on the front lines, trained to be at the ready, fought for our American freedoms and for those abroad who needed their help, strength and commitment.

We come together, we salute the flag, we shake hands, we honor those fallen with memorials, we offer them or their family the honor of Stars and Stripes. This is time for some pretty serious recognition. Veteran’s Day is one of those days that no matter what day of the week, whether recognized with banks, work or schools being closed.  We have to be appreciative for the wonderful life they have given and continue to give to us. Let us not waste it on bickering, name calling and hate. We all have our own histories, experiences and struggles, but none like they have seen in the face of an enemy. Thank you.
