Fall Traditions

Fall traditions are certainly part of our life. We have some big holidays (Halloween and Thanksgiving) that are traditions for the fall – but also the little ones that are celebrated as they come. One of our favorite traditions is Apple Picking. Today’s the day!

It isn’t the dusty or muddy rows that I like. It isn’t the hay ride we take to the top of the hill. It isn’t the getting the kids up and out early. It isn’t carrying the over 40 pounds of apples that we seemingly always manage to pick.

These are Organic apples. Freshly picked. Crunchy. Mouth watering delicious. Local. Meeting the farmers and the orchard manager throughout the day. Seeing the kids debate Jonagold or Golden Delicious but forgetting that they really like Granny Smith, too.

It is spending the day with my family. My husband, my kids, my parents, my sisters and their kids.Taking pictures, making memories. Sharing love.

Enjoy the day. Enjoy the traditions. Enjoy the sunshine.
