Christmas Gift of Relaxation

We are so lucky that every few years we get the Christmas gift of relaxation.

The days of the week align and we not only get a long weekend, but Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the rest of the week for the kids with no school.

If you’ve done eveything you needed to do, all the shopping, the cooking, the baking, and the wrapping – you can watch a movie, take a nap and sleep late the next day, too.

Ok, that’s never how it happens.

If you have a final weekend of shopping, a full Saturday and Sunday prior to Christmas Eve you will jam pack the weekend with more shopping, more cooking, more baking (maybe some cookie eating) and more wrapping of presents. Especially when you’ve done bonus last minute, I forgot that I hid somewhere and there…oh, and there.

There is still 48 more hours to get everything done, just don’t get lulled into a false sense that there is a Christmas gift of relaxation…that hasn’t yet been found under the tree – like ever – keep looking though. It might just arrive one year when you aren’t expecting it at all.
